The Peter Fedoruk age 20, on 1911 census was boarding in the same house as Fred Kurigatz, another victim of the Hillcrest Mine Disaster.

A Ukrainian newspaper named The Novyny, published in Edmonton, Alberta on the 27th of June, 1914, gave a list of the Rusyn Miners killed in the Hillcrest Mine Disaster. Our interpretation of the Cyrillic script in the article is listed twice: Ivan Fediuk OR Ivan Fedoruk. Rusyn miners will include miners of Rusyn, Ruthenian or Ukrainian descent.
