Official list gives his surname as Flougere, but there are very few instances of that name found, I think it should be Fougere.
Interesting Facts
I also found the name August Fougere in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick but the NS miner's, in particular, were mentioned in many newspaper articles and August was not. No other miners from New Brunswick.
